My Blog Has Moved

Well folks, I've finally done it. I've switched to WordPress and my blog is now on my own domain. So say good-bye to Blogger and good-bye to the bling. But don't be sad. Life is full of change. Change is a good thing. It keeps us on our toes. It challanges us and makes us stronger. And as your next President... oops, I got a little speechy there, didn't I?

Anyway, check me out at:

Blah Blah Blog...

I am so behind on everything that it's not even funny. I've been give blog awards that I haven't responded to, I've won prizes that I barely acknowledged, and I didn't even post about my New Year's Eve dinner with Linda. (and I even took pictures) I promise I will get to the prizes and awards, especially the awesome t-shirt I won from my friend over at A World of Progress. Go read her blog...really, go here and do it now. I'll wait right here until your done.

Ah, your back. I take it you enjoyed her blog? Good... I know I just did a post on apathy and I suppose that it is trickling down to this post as well...or running up or over or whatever you want to call it. I guess I am at a loss for words and I didn't want to fall into publishing crap posts like, "I didn't do anything this week" or "There's nothing to report." Why even publish a post like that?

Ok, well screw it. Here's my boring post. I went shopping with Amy today to the mall. While we were driving there, she helped my run my lines for the play. We got so involved in reading the lines that I forgot where we were and I turned around because I thought I was going the wrong way. The problem was that I wasn't going the wrong way so that when I turned around, I was then going the wrong way. Confusing? You bet.

Haven't you ever been somewhere that you know you should know but for some stupid reason you don't recognize it? Even if it's just for a few short seconds and then all of a sudden you do that "I could have had a V8" thing and realize where you are? It happens to me occaisionally. I'd call it the onslaught of altzheimer's except it's happened to me periodically throughout my life.

Anyway, Amy and I had a good laugh as I turned the car around and headed back to the mall. This gave us a chance to run the lines a few more times before we actually got to the mall. Once there, Amy bought herself a pair of jeans (I think they are called boyfriend jeans) and a top. She wanted to get the soundtrack to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat but there was no music store in the mall.

Now what decent mall doesn't have at least one store where you can buy music cds and movies? Amy claims that it is because the iPod is killing the music CD. In the 80's the Buggles sang, "Video killed the radio star," and I guess in the 10's (is that possibly correct??????), the tune would go, "The iPod killed the music CD." (or something like that)

You know, it's kind of fun writing a rambling post that goes from one subject to another. Currently, I just finished a dinner of chicken breast, corn, tomatoes, and okra. Damn tasty and I didn't even eat all of the chicken breast. I was so pleased with myself that I made myself a ginormous bloody mary to celebrate. But just one cause I'm on a diet. (that's why it had to be a really big one.)

Well folks, that's all I got in me. I'm off to visit Amy and Scott and Sean and a bunch of their friends. It's lightly snowing here and I've just finished my bloody mary. Damn, I want another but I want to lose weight more so I will stand tall and strong. Does anyone know of any alcohol that's 20 calories or less a shot?

You made me giggle. I like your rambling post...I am a stream of conscious girl myself.

Have a good weekend. And...if you find that alcohol please let me know!

I love your rambling posts! I have TOTALLY done the wrong turn, right turn thing. Makes your heads spin!

When you find that alcohol- let me know!

Jerrie - Hey, if I find that alcohol, I'm gonna bottle it and sell it!

Rebecca - I hate it when I do stuff like that.

Erin, Nick and Merrick - You'll be the first to know!

That was funny reading about you getting mixed up while driving. I have so been there I guess it be your mind so excited and focused on other things like the thought of going to the mall or the script, that it lost focus on the direction you were driving in, lol.

Makingmoney - Yea, I give everyone gets confused every once in a while.

This post was EVERYWHERE!

I don't have words for some of it, because it is a cruel world we live in.

Also, don't use the word DIET! A diet is temporary, it means you will lose weight and then gain it back. At least this is what I tell myself. So I call it a "lifestyle" change. Ok, have a giggle cause yes, that can mean many things. But I am referring to my eating habits. Um, okay, I'll shut up now!

Wheremyangels - You are right about Diet. I need to change the way I eat but I want to "diet" a little first to lose some weight fast and then incorporate my "lifestyle" change.

A mall without a place to buy cds or dvds? I didn't know those existed.

OK, add me to the list when you find the 20 cal cocktail! I just poured a glass of wine - it's after 5 and I've been in this house all day with two maniacs and my kitchen sink fell in this morning. For real!

Thanks for visiting, BITS!

Jaina - Neither did we. I think we walked around the mall twice just because we couldn't believe that there wasn't a least one store where you could buy cds or dvds.

Mary Anna - I'll add you to my list. A 20 cal martini would go nice right now. I hope your sink is ok.

I love that image you have of the bloody mary peppery thing. Very funny. I also got lost going on a road I took every day to and from work. Not sure if I just zoned out for a bit or what, but suddenly I had a panic attack and had no idea where I was. The road was an interstate, and for all I knew I had driven across state lines into Chicago. Fortunately I didn't. I was right on track, but sure scared the heck out of me for a while.

Heathersister - I love Joseph too. My ex was in three different productions of it.

Ken - It seems that I am not the only one who has these "lapses" in memory.

I think the music store is dead. I still buy most of my music on CD - at a local independent shop - but iTunes and Amazon killed Tower. Tower, regrettably killed the local independent record shop.

And video killed the radio star.

A Free Man - I think you are half right. The music store is half-dead. I am one of the few who does not own an IPod; however, I don't buy music CDs like I used to when I was younger. But everyone I know has an IPod and they rarely ever buy music CDs.
