My Blog Has Moved

Well folks, I've finally done it. I've switched to WordPress and my blog is now on my own domain. So say good-bye to Blogger and good-bye to the bling. But don't be sad. Life is full of change. Change is a good thing. It keeps us on our toes. It challanges us and makes us stronger. And as your next President... oops, I got a little speechy there, didn't I?

Anyway, check me out at:

I'll look for you there.

More of Nothing

It's 6:00 am and I am up on the computer because Dave (my dog) has been waking me up at 5:30 am in the morning to go out. (Sissy, the female could hold it in 24 hours, if forced to.) In fact, on Saturday he got me out of bed at 3:30 am. I didn't really want to get up but he's got a bladder issue so I dragged my half conscious body up and took the dogs out. Fortunately, it was Saturday and I went back to bed and slept until 9:30, which is the latest I've ever slept in a while.

I'm learning to live with it because there is no sense in punishing the dog for something he can't control although I really feel like stabbing him to death at the moment he wakes me. But I know what it feels like to really have to go in the morning and Dave is a dog with only so much control, especially with his bladder problems. Plus, he turned 13 on Jan 3 and that is really, really old--especially for a Dalmatian.

So, instead of trying to grab a quick 30 minute extra snooze before I get ready to go to work, I jump on the computer to check my emails and be a good SITS member. I had a little extra time so I decided to see if I could squeeze out a little post before jumping in the shower. This is about as much squeezing as I could muster.

So thanks for stopping by. I know a couple of you have given me some awards and I swear I will get to your blogs to thank you and post a thank you here. I really will. Eventually. It'll happen. I just have a hard time focusing on too many things at the same time and with the BIG trade show in Orlando coming up the first week of February, my show opening on February 13th, and my focus on losing weight before I leave for Orlando (13 lbs. lost so far), I don't have much left to give. But I love all my visitors and I love reading all your blogs so I'll be back in the swing of things soon.

With a title like "More of Nothing" I knew I just had to jump over here to read!! ha ha

Thank goodness fish and birds don't have to be taken outside. Well okay I have taken alot of fish outside, but that is because they were too big to flush!

Dogs are like babies, especially when they are puppies!

But they are so darn sweet that you just have to forgive them! Are both your Dalmatians 13 yrs old??

Awww! Such a cutie! But, I bet he isn't quite as cute at 3:30 in the morning.

Congrats on the weight loss! Good luck at the show if we don't hear from you before that.

Having 4 dogs - we were constantly getting up throughout the night because none of the could go potty at the same time... hence - we installed a doggie door!!!! Best thing ever!!!

Your baby looks great for 13 years old! Doesnt look like an older doggie!

Getting up early is terrible until that coffee kicks in. I've just started getting up at 6 to 6:30 every morning this week as opposed to 8 or 8:30 and I have a love/hate relationship with the whole ordeal. At least you have a pet for the excuse--mine is homework!

Great blog!

Petit - You're welcome and thanks for stopping by my blog too!

Keeper of the Skies Wife - He is a darn cutie. Sorry your doggie wakes you up so early too.

Wheresmyangels - Yes, you don't have to walk fish and birds but you can't wrestle with them either!.

Rachael - Yes, dogs are a BIG responsibility and it's a great test of patience with me. I remember reading somewhere that you could always tell what type of a person someone was by how they treated his/her dog. And Dave is 13 but Sissy is 8.

Jewelstreet - No he is not cute at 3:30 am but when he has that desperate "I gotta go or else" look, I know to spring in action. And I lost another pound, woo hoo!

Meghan - I am glad you stopped by too! And sorry, but I'm gunning for a total of 30 pounds so I have 16 to go unless I lost more when I check my weight at work.

Rebecca jo - At one point I had three dals but now only 2. And you would never know Dave was 13 because he acts exactly like he has for the past 13 years. Actually, I think he's gotten a little friendlier and relaxed more. (He used to be a really tense dog.)

Tori - Yup, gotta have my java. And you're fight, I love/hate getting up early but after I'm up, I'm glad I have the extra time. I'm glad you like my blog, too.

Nice job on the weight loss!

And ummm this is why I don't have dogs... at least I can (eventually) teach the wee ones to use the bathroom at night on their own!

Thanks so much for stopping by on my SITS day! This has been so much fun, and I really hope you come back to visit again soon!

You are doing so well with the weight loss. I need to do the same. I am exercising so that is a step in the right direction!

What about a doggy door?

What's up daddio!

What a good doggie daddy you are. Even if you do get the urge to stab them sometimes. (Dave! Hide the knives!)

JD - It is fun and I miss it. And I'm up to 15 lbs lost! and I heart Dave too.

Leon - Thanks.

Michelle - My dogs are like kids but they give me unconditional love and sometimes that can be a wonderful th ing. I promise when things slow down I'll be visiting your blog.

Tabitha - Thanks. It's 15 lbs now.

Renee - Every step counts as long as you keep it up!

The Blonde Duck - My dogs are way to big for a doggie door plus they don't like strangers and other animals and since my yard is not fenced in, it would not be safe.

Leon - I am hanging in there.

Minivan Mom - Dave doesn't have to hide the knives. I think he keeps them in the bed and slashes me in the back while I sleep...damn I gotta trim his nails.
