Merry SITSmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy Holiday too,
For whatever holiday you celebrate
In the way you choose to do.
We hope it brings you happiness
and good times for one and all
May the season be full of kindess
And joys, both big and small.
May the love of this holiday season
Bring only good times and cheer
May you savor in the joy of giving
And may it last throughout the year.
Happy Holidays from Preston and Heather
Season's Greetings to the SITS blog hosts
May the winner of the $200 Target Gift Card
Truly need it the mosts.
(ok, so mosts isn't proper, but it rhymes doesn't it?)
The first picture is of Chip, Heather, and I in 1984. Looking back at it, I remember just how much I was in love with that man. It saddens me to think that it did not last, even though it did last 13 1/2 years.  The next picture is me and my daughter, Heather, from Christmas 1988. The third one is us from Christmas 2007, nineteen years later.  And yes, those are HUGE eyeglasses and yes, that is the remnants of a mullet!

  49. Merry SITSmas and happy holidays to you!

Sorry to be a bit belated, but apparently all the singing I did over on my blog yesterday gave me a migraine. Okay, it wasn't the singing (I mean, I'm *always* singing...) but I wound up with a migraine nonetheless! So, I'm making the rounds today and typing with fingers crossed that the last handful of meds I took will do the trick so I can get on with my day!

Love the "picture trip down memory lane" - if that is your actual tree and living room in last year's photo, I'm jealous! It was lovely, as were you and your daughter! :)

Cheers to the only BITS I know! :D

    ReplyDelete
  50. Heather - I hope you are feeling better. Migrane's are awful. Glad you enjoyed the photos but no, that is not my tree or living room. We always have live trees and you can tell its my living room from the 3 inches of dog hair on EVERYTHING! Merry SITSmas from a BITS!

  53. Merry SITSmas a little late! I'm still working my way through the links!

What a gorgeous gal and a handsome man! Don't we all have those pictures of us where we wonder, "What the HONK was I thinking??" I know I do! Like my three-foot tall hair from the late 80's! YIKES!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Carrie - It's never too late to say Merry SITSmas! Thanks for the comments and didn't all gals have huge hair in the 80's?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm late, but here!

Merry SITSmas.. I love the pics... look at your beautiful daughter.

I swear, you look so familiar!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Tiffany - I'm glad you made it but I sure don't know how you do it. LOL Thanks for the compliments and when I was in my very early 20's, people told me I looked like John Ritter.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Preston - Brini Maxwell is a fictional character/drag queen who does fab crafts and entertaining with 60's mod style. Your previous blogger image is small, but I thought it was of Brini Maxwell.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Taylor - That is way too funny. I had no idea who Brini Maxwell is so does that make me a bad gay? LOL I have no idea where I found that image either but I fell in love with it immediately. Now I need to do some research on Brini Maxwell. Who knows? Maybe it was her. :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Please tell me you still have the tie! That could be a family heirloom you know! I think you have a great blog! Merry SITSmas!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Janah - I sure do have that tie. In fact, last night I was looking at it trying to decide if I wanted to wear it to the company Christmas party next week. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  61. Merry belated SITSmas! I love all of your old photos - especially your funny comments ;) I think my favorite is the pleather pants look. I'm sure it's making a comeback, so be ready. The photos of you and your daughter are cute too.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Little Everyday Things - Merry belated SITSmas to you too. Thanks for your compliments. I really did love those pleather pants but I think I'd need to lose 20 lbs in order to fit in them again!
